Hi, I'm Stuie and i have been a coach for the last 15 years. My goal is to have every member feel motivated, encouraged and inspired when they step into our studio and leave feeling fantastic.

Favourite class at Coast? LIFT - I love teaching the finer details of good lifting technique, as well as drilling in the basics so that you are subconsciously thinking about my coaching cues in your sleep. BREATHE, BRACE, DRIVE!

I also secretly love any session with a bike, ski or row challenge in it.

Why did you become a personal trainer? I became a PT whilst i was studying at uni. I originally started in the industry with the goal to work with professional athletes when i quickly became attached to the business side of personal training and gym ownership. Now i love being able to help everyone around me become a stronger and fitter version of themselves whilst having a laugh at the same time.

I'm Aaron, I've been working in the fitness industry for the past 7 years. I have always been passionate towards helping people and involved in sports from an early age, so naturally, PT was why calling.

Favourite class at Coast? LIFT - In this session, I feel I am the most involved in helping correct technique and can see improvements week to week in each member

Why did you become a coach? I am a firm believer in movement for life, I don’t want to grow old and be forced to have surgeries or assistance just to live a normal life. I want to be that “old guy” in the gym who can still run, jump and do everything I can today - and I became a coach because I want to encourage everyone to be able to do the same

Ella Pettitt
Head Coach / Manager

IMG_8853_edited_edited.jpg

Hi, my name is Ella and I have been working in the fitness industry for 9 years. My journey started in the UK as a Kids Club Coach in a luxury gym while studying to become a secondary school PE teacher. Fitness has always been a huge part of my life through playing football (UK), training in CrossFit, and being involved in high-level sport from a young age.

Alongside fitness, I’ve worked in several public service roles including Special Constable, Paediatric Healthcare Assistant, Maternity Support Worker, and trainee firefighter. These experiences helped shape me into the trainer I am today by developing my communication skills, resilience, and passion for helping people. After exploring different career paths, becoming a Personal Trainer felt like the perfect way to combine my love for fitness, coaching, and supporting others.

Why Did You Become a Personal Trainer?

I became a Personal Trainer because I genuinely love helping people become the best version of themselves. Fitness has always been a huge part of my life, and I wanted a career where I could combine my passion for training with my experience in teaching, coaching, and public service. Seeing clients grow in confidence and achieve goals they never thought possible is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Favourite Class at Coast?

My favourite class at Coast is Condition. I love the science behind conditioning training and the way it improves cardiovascular fitness, endurance, recovery, and overall athletic performance. As a previous football (UK) player, I regularly use conditioning principles within my own training because it helps improve stamina, speed, and the ability to recover quickly during high-intensity efforts. I also love the atmosphere of the class and how it encourages people to push outside their comfort zones while building confidence and resilience.

My Achievements

  • 9 years of experience within the fitness industry

  • Moving to Australia and building a new career pathway

  • Experience working across healthcare and emergency services roles

  • Competing and training within high-level sports and fitness environments

  • Bringing dedication, energy, and positivity into everything I do

Qualifications

  • Certificate III & IV in Fitness and Personal Training – The Fitness Group, UK

  • Higher Diploma of Education – Bedford University, UK

  • Sports Development and Coaching – Northumbria University, UK

  • Management of Fitness Spaces and Group Exercise – Les Mills
